Collaboration and organisation of other studies

The Association is sometimes commissioned by third parties in order to organise tests or collaborative studies. These studies can have different objectives from “routine interlaboratory tests”. They can be used to characterise an analytical method, to validate a method in order to standardise it, …
These tests may lead to the writing of test report and/or the writing of other documents (poster, abstract…).

Participation in standardization works

A.G.L.A.E. wishes to share its knowledge with analytical laboratories. For this reason, A.G.L.A.E. is committed in several working groups at AFNOR (French standard institution).

At the moment, we are working on a draft standard to evaluate the uncertainty of measurement associated with a microbiological analysis result in the environment field.

Exploiting the history of proficiency tests results

For over 15 years, A.G.L.A.E. has been organising proficiency tests and gathering the results of these tests. These results on hundreds of parameters and several matrices enable today to draw up balance sheets and make studies.

In 2003, the Association has established precision reckoners in chemistry. These reckoners have been revised in 2007 and are available for each member in order to determine their own uncertainty of measurement.

In 2005, a study regarding the quality of test materials was realised. Today, we are able to define for each parameter in each matrix, a reasonable period to start the sample treatment. During this period, we can assure participants that there is a minimal risk of instability for the relevant parameter.
